Delaware State Police arrested 53-year-old Paul Lambert of Delmar, Delaware, and 39-year-old William Ingle of Bethel, Delaware, on Wednesday night.
On September 6, 2023, at approximately 9:10 p.m., a trooper on proactive patrol was traveling northbound on Bi State Boulevard near Duke Road behind a Honda Odyssey. The trooper conducted a traffic stop when he noticed that the vehicle’s registration had expired in February 2023. As the trooper approached the Honda, he noticed a rifle next to the passenger’s leg. The driver, Lambert and the passenger, Ingle, were both detained. A computer check of Ingle, revealed that he was prohibited from possessing a firearm and had an active capias. During the traffic stop, a narcotics canine scanned the Honda and positively alerted to the presence of narcotics. A search of the car led to the discovery of approximately .19 grams of methamphetamine, approximately 11.57 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. In addition, .26 grams of methamphetamine was found on Lambert. Lambert and Ingle were transported to Troop 4, where they were charged with the following crimes:
Paul Lambert:
Lambert was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 3 and released on his own recognizance.
William Ingle:
Ingle was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 3 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $12,300.00 cash bond.
