The Delaware State Police arrested Alexis Honaker, 33, of Newark, Delaware, Edwin Baine, 43, of Wilmington, Delaware, and Adneris Torres-Camacho, 36, of Wilmington, Delaware, for drug and weapon offenses on Thursday morning in Wilmington.
On August 31, 2023, at approximately 9:15 a.m., troopers responded to the Fairview Inn located at 1051 S. Market Street, Wilmington, in an attempt to locate Edwin Baine, who was wanted for multiple active capiases. Troopers located Baine and a woman, identified as Adneris Torres-Camacho, in a room at the motel. When making contact with the occupants, troopers observed drug paraphernalia in plain view on a nightstand. A subsequent search of the room located a woman, identified as Alexis Honaker, hiding in a bathtub with two handbags. All three suspects were taken into custody without incident. During the search, troopers recovered approximately 0.07 grams of crack cocaine, and 0.098 grams of heroin belonging to Torres-Camacho. Additionally, a concealed and loaded firearm, brass knuckles, approximately 0.035 grams of heroin, and approximately 0.04 grams of crack cocaine were recovered from a black handbag. The firearm and brass knuckles were determined to be concealed by Honaker at Baine’s request.
A computer inquiry revealed both Honaker and Baine are prohibited from possessing a firearm. All three suspects were taken to Troop 2 and charged with the following crimes:
Alexis Honaker:
Honaker was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $1,000 secured bond.
Edwin Baine:
Baine was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $64,000 cash bond.
Adneris Torres-Camacho:
Torres-Camacho was issued a criminal summons for these charges and released.
