Troopers Arrest Selbyville Man for Theft of a Firearm Following Vehicle Break-Ins- Selbyville

Selbyville- Delaware State Police arrested 20-year-old Broaderick Thomas of Selbyville, on Friday for theft of a firearm following a rash of vehicle break-ins.

On October 22, 2021, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Troopers investigated a rash of thefts from unsecured motor vehicles that occurred in the Americana Bayside Development in Selbyville, DE. One of the thefts from vehicle included a theft of two firearms. Through investigative measures, troopers developed Broaderick Thomas as the suspect.

On the evening of October 22, 2021, Troopers located Broaderick in the Selbyville area  and took him into custody without incident. Broaderick was transported to Delaware State Police Troop 4 where he was charged with the following crimes:

  • Theft of a Firearm (Felony) – 2 counts
  • Theft- 3 counts
  • Criminal Trespass- 5 counts

He was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court #3 and released on $9,005.00 unsecured bond.

The firearms have not been located at this time.
