Wilmington- Delaware State Police arrested 29-year-old Kadeem Peart of Wilmington on a weapon charge following a traffic stop Wednesday.
On March 17, 2021, at approximately 1:44 p.m., a trooper on routine patrol on Governor Printz Boulevard in the area of Hillside Road observed a blue Nissan Sentra fail to properly use a turn signal while changing lanes. A traffic stop was initiated, and contact was made with the operator and sole occupant, Kadeem Peart. A computer search revealed Peart was operating the vehicle with a suspended license.
Prior to the vehicle being towed, an inventory search was conducted, and troopers discovered a loaded Glock .40 caliber handgun underneath the driver’s seat.
Peart was taken into custody without incident and transported to Troop 1, where he was charged with the following crimes:
Peart was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court #2 and released on a $1,200.00 unsecured bond.
