Troopers Arrest Pair on Burglary Charges, Attempt to Locate Third Suspect – Magnolia

Magnolia – The Delaware State Police have arrested two men and attempt to locate a third in connection with two residential burglaries and numerous thefts from vehicles in the Magnolia area.

The incidents occurred on August 17, 2020 and August 18, 2020, Troopers investigated burglaries and related thefts that took place at residences throughout the Magnolia area. The first burglary occurred at a residence on Rockwood Blvd in the Satterfield Development that involved the theft of two firearms. Troopers learned that three male suspects entered the garage of the occupied residence and stole a Remington 870 12-guage shotgun and an AR-15 rifle. The second burglary occurred on Viola Drive, Magnolia, where the suspects entered a garage at the residence and removed a wallet from inside. In addition Troopers investigated numerous thefts from vehicles in Magnolia which were determined to be related.

Through various investigative leads and measures detectives were able to identify Syeed Haines, 24, of Wyoming, DE, Tygee Dennis, 31, of Dover, and Dominic Hurley, 19, of Dover, as suspects in the incidents.

Both Syeed and Tygee were located and taken into custody without incident, and transported back to Troop 3 where they were charged with the following:

  • Burglary First Degree (Felony) – 2 counts
  • Theft of a Firearm (Felony) – 2 counts
  • Conspiracy Second Degree (Felony)
  • Theft Under $1,500 – 3 counts
  • Conspiracy Third Degree – 2 counts
  • Criminal Trespass Third Degree – 2 counts
  • Unlawful Use of Credit Card – 2 counts

Syeed was arraigned out of the Justice of the Peace Court #7 and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $50,600 secured bond.

Tygee Dennis (not pictured):

  • Burglary First Degree (Felony) – 2 counts
  • Theft of a Firearm (Felony) – 2 counts
  • Conspiracy Second Degree (Felony)
  • Theft Under $1,500 – 7 counts
  • Conspiracy Third Degree – 9 counts
  • Criminal Trespass Third Degree – 9 counts
  • Unlawful Use of Credit Card – 3 counts

Tygee was arraigned out of the Justice of the Peace Court #7 and released on $21,450 unsecured bond.

Troopers have been unable to locate Dominic Hurley who currently has an active warrant out of Troop 3 for the following:
