Rehoboth Beach- The Delaware State Police arrested 32-year-old TRAVIS B. TERRY (photo 2014) after he was involved in a single motor vehicle crash and found to be under the influence and in possession of drugs.
The incident occurred on August 9, 2020, at approximately 2:42 p.m., when Troopers were dispatched to the 2000 block of Ramblewood Drive, Rehoboth Beach, for a report of a single vehicle crash involving a moped. Upon arrival, Troopers made contact with the operator of the moped, Travis Terry when an odor of alcohol was detected. Further investigation revealed that Terry was traveling northbound on Ramblewood Drive, when he struck a branch in the roadway and he and his moped fell to the ground.
A DUI investigation ensued when approximately 7.72 grams of cocaine and drug paraphernalia were found on Terry’s person. A computer inquiry revealed that Terry had been charged with three previous DUI’s, making this his fourth offense. Terry was transported to the Beebe Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Upon his release he was transported back to Troop 7 where he was charged with the following:
Terry was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $21000.00 secured bond.
