Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Charges-Harbeson

Harbeson- The Delaware State Police have arrested 43-year-old William H. Holloman Jr., of Lewes, after a traffic stop led to the discovery of drugs.

The incident occurred on April 9, 2020 at approximately 3:05 p.m., when a Trooper observed a vehicle hauling a trailer without a visible license plate traveling on Prettyman Road approaching Lewes Georgetown Highway, Harbeson.  A traffic stop was initiated and contact was made with the operator, William Holloman, when a odor of marijuana was detected.

A subsequent search of the vehicle was conducted and approximately 59.44 grams of marijuana, approximately 8.78 grams of crack cocaine, and drug paraphernalia were located inside the vehicle.  Holloman was taken into custody without incident and transported back to Troop 7 where he was charged with the following:

  • Possession With Intent To Deliver a Controlled Substance (2 counts)
  • Possession of Controlled Substance Tier 1 Quantity
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2 counts)
  • Failure to Have Registration Card in Possession
  • Failure to Display a License Plate

Holloman was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and released on his own recognizance.
