Troopers Arrest Long Neck, DE Man on Multiple Drug Charges- Millsboro

Millsboro- The Delaware State Police have arrested 27-year-old Jamar A. Jones after he was found in possession of drugs.

The incident occurred on February 14, 2020 at approximately 6:48 p.m., when Troopers were conducting proactive patrols in the Long Neck area of Millsboro.  While patrolling through the parking lot of the Sea Esta Motel, located at 100 Seafarer’s Village Road, Millsboro, Jamar Jones was contacted at the rear of the building, when an odor of marijuana was detected.

A subsequent search of Jones’ person led to the discovery of the following:

  • 81 bags of heroin (approximately .567 grams)
  • approximately 2.31 grams of crack cocaine
  • approximately 5.41 grams of synthetic marijuana
  • 5 Suboxone 8 MG pills
  • Over $700.00 in suspected drug proceeds
  • Drug Paraphernalia

Jones was taken into custody without incident and transported back to Troop 7 where he was charged with the following:

  • Possession With Intent To Deliver a Controlled Substance (3 counts)
  • Possession of a Controlled or Counterfeit Substance
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Jones was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $32000.00 cash only bond.
