Laurel- The Delaware State Police have arrested two suspects after observing a suspicious vehicle and locating drugs.
The incident occurred on January 1, 2020 at approximately 10:09 p.m., when a Trooper observed a vehicle parked in the rear parking lot of the Royal Farms, Sussex Highway, Laurel for an extended period of time. Upon contact, the vehicle was still running and the occupants inside were asleep. The male driver was observed exposing himself. The Trooper awoke the subjects, identified as 36-year-old Stewart A. Timmons of Harrington, DE and 33-year-old Candace A. Comegys of Harrington, DE. Further investigation releveled that Timmons was under the influence of a combination of drugs and unable to operate a motor vehicle safely.

Timmons and Comegys were taken into custody without incident and transported back to Troop 5 where they were charged with the following:
Stewart Timmons:
Timmons was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution (SCI) on $3500 secured bond. Upon arrival to SCI, Timmons was found concealing approximately 1.46 grams of Methamphetamine and 1.48 grams of marijuana. He was subsequently charged with Promoting Prison Contraband and Tampering With Physical Evidence.
Candace A. Comegys:
Comegys was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and released on her own recognizance.
