Delmar-  The Delaware State Police have located and arrested 37-year-old Dionederik R. Godwin of Bishopville, MD, who was wanted in connection with a domestic related incident in which he displayed a firearm

On December 9, 2019, at approximately 8:50 p.m., Troopers responded to a residence in the 35000 block of  Mount Herman Circle, Delmar, where Godwin was taken into custody without incident.

Godwin was transported back to Troop 4 where he was charged with the following:

• Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony
• Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
• Strangulation
• Aggravated Menacing
• Endangering the Welfare of a Child (5 counts)
• Offensive Touching (2 counts)

Godwin was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $46750.00 secured bond.
