Magnolia- The Delaware State Police have arrested a Dover man after a traffic stop led to the discovery of drugs and weapons.
The incident occurred on September 3, 2019 at approximately 9:47 p.m., when Troopers observed a Subaru Legacy traveling westbound on Walnut Shade Road, Magnolia, swerving outside of it’s lane of travel. A traffic stop was initiated and upon contact with the vehicle an odor of marijuana was detected and Troopers observed firearms in plain view in the back seat of the vehicle. The driver, 32-year old Christopher M. Foraker was detained without incident. Foraker was found in possession of approximately 0.19 grams of crystal methamphetamine and a computer inquiry revealed that he was a person prohibited from possessing a firearm.
A search of Foraker’s vehicle was conducted and the following was located:
Foraker was transported back to Troop 3 where he was charged with the following:
Foraker was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $6,102.00 secured bond.
