Date Posted: Wednesday, August 28th, 2019

Wilmington – The Delaware State Police have arrested 25 year old Jimanie R. Braddox of Brooklyn, NY on indecent exposure and other related charges after he exposed himself to a woman, late Tuesday night.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at the Holiday Inn Express, located at 300 Rocky Run Parkway. Braddox approached the female clerk at the front desk and inquired about renting a room. Before completing the transaction Braddox stated that he was waiting for a friend and then went to an adjacent room to await their arrival. A few moments later Braddox again approached the clerk and when he did so, his genitals were exposed. Braddox was advised to leave by other staff members and he did so. A short time later when the victim was getting in to her car in the parking she again observed Braddox who attempted to talk to her. He then followed her to a nearby CVS pharmacy where he approached her a third time, inside the business, this time grabbing her arm. Braddox fled after being confronted by a CVS employee. At this time the victim called 911 and Troopers responded to the CVS, however Braddox was already gone.

As part of the investigation a description of Braddox’ s vehicle along with his physical description, to include clothing, was broadcast to local police agencies. Braddox was reportedly driving a white Dodge Charger with Virginia tag VCN-7450, and was wearing a black shirt, dark colored pants and a black baseball style hat with white writing.

Approximately three hours later an officer from the New Castle City Police Department, who was aware of the incident based on the broadcast, located the vehicle and Braddox who was walking in the 900 block of Delaware St. in New Castle City. Braddox was taken in to custody without incident and turned over to Troopers.

Further investigation confirmed that Braddox was the subject involved in the incident at the Holiday Inn Express and the CVS. He was transported to Troop 1 where he was charged with one count each of Stalking, Indecent Exposure 2nd Degree and Offensive Touching. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court #11 and then committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in lieu of $6000.00 secured bail.

Anyone with information regarding Braddox or anyone who believes they may have been victimized or contacted  by him are asked to contact Cpl. D. Galiani at Troop 1 by calling 302-761-6677 or by calling 911.
