Delaware – The Delaware State Police have arrested Lorenzo Williams, 25 of Seaford, who was wanted for multiple felony and related charges.

Today, August 8, 2019, members of the First State Fugitive Task Force while working with the Delaware State Police located and apprehended Lorenzo Williams in Wilmington after a brief foot pursuit and struggle.

  • June 28, 2019, Williams ran a stop sign and failed to stop on command while driving in a reckless manner. After the vehicle pursuit, he fled on foot.
  • July 1, 2019, Williams fled from officers after being observed on the front porch of his residence.
  • July 24, 2019, Williams forced entry into a private residence and stole money and a firearm. He then set fire to the residence in Seaford. Later on this day, Williams was located at a hotel in Long Neck and fled from police on foot after he entered an occupied hotel room and left his child.

Lorenzo Williams was transported back to the Troop where he was charged with the following:

  • Possession of a Firearm by Person Prohibited
  • Two Counts of Burglary 2nd Degree
  • Felony Theft
  • Theft of a Firearm
  • Two Counts of Criminal Mischief
  • Reckless Endangering
  • Endangering the Welfare
  • Two Counts of Resisting Arrest
  • Disregarding a Police Officer
  • Resist Arrest
  • Drive while Suspended and/or Revoked
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Multiple Traffic Charges

Lorenzo Williams was also wanted by the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office for Arson, Violation of Probation  Superior Court and Court of Common Pleas in both Kent and Sussex Counties as well as the Seaford Police Department for Forgery, Theft, Resisting Arrest and Criminal Trespass.

Lorenzo Williams was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on a $43,500.00 cash-only bond.
