Dover- The Delaware State Police have arrested two suspects in connection with thefts in the Dover area and one suspect still remains at large.
In the beginning of May, 2019, Troop 3 took a series of theft complaints from yards and unsecured motor vehicles in the Rodney Village Development and in the area of Artis Drive. Items stolen included credit cards that were utilized at various locations. Through investigative measures, Troopers identified two suspects for the thefts in the Rodney Village area as 18-year-old Charles Livingston and 18-year-old Jawann Butcher, both of Dover. Elijah Coppage, 15, of Dover was developed as a suspect regarding the incidents in the Artis Drive Area.
On May 3, 2019, Livingston was taken into custody at a residence in the 400 block of Barrister Place, Dover without incident. He was transported back to Troop 3 where he was charged with the following:
Livingston was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and released on $3700.00 unsecured bond.
On May 6, 2019, Coppage was taken into custody at the Royal Farms, located at 304 N. Dupont Boulevard, Smyrna. Coppage was found in possession of a stolen pair of wireless headphones in which the serial number was altered and a concealed knife. Coppage was transported back to Troop 3 where he was charged with the following:
Coppage was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and released on his own recognizance.
Troopers have been unable to locate Jawann Butcher who currently has active warrants out of Troop 3 for the following:
