Lewes- The Delaware State Police have arrested a Milton man after he failed to stop and was found in possession of drugs.
The incident occurred on April 12, 2019, at approximately 6:51 p.m., when Troopers were conducting proactive patrol in the Pinetown neighborhood. Troopers observed 44-year-old Michael L. White driving in a silver Ford Fusion, on Pinetown Road. It was known to Troopers that White had a suspended driver’s license and three active capiases for his arrest.
White continued to drive to a residential dead end street on Red Mill Road. A traffic stop was initiated when White failed to comply and continued to drive on Red Mill Road. White eventually came to a stop after driving onto a yard and nearly striking a fence. White exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot, when he was subsequently taken into custody.
Troopers located approximately .68 grams of crack cocaine inside the vehicle. White was transported back to Troop 7 where he was charged with the following:
White was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court on these charges as well as his active capiases. He was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $26,500.00 cash only bond.
