Townsend– The Delaware State Police have arrested a Townsend man following an investigation into the sale of illegal drugs.
The investigation began when members of the Kent County Governor’s Task Force (GTF) learned that 27-year-old Kenyatta Berg-Moultry was selling large quantities of marijuana in the Middletown, Odessa, and Townsend areas.
On March 21, 2019, at approximately 1:19 p.m., Troopers observed a no contact order violation by Berg-Moultry when a female was seen leaving his residence in the 100 block of N. Meadow Drive, Townsend. Members of the Kent County GTF and Dover Probation and Parole took Berg-Moultry into custody without incident. Berg-Moultry was found to be on Level 2 probation. Dover Probation and Parole conducted an administrative search of the residence and the following was seized:
Berg-Moultry was transported back to the Troop 9 where he was charged with the following:
Berg-Moultry was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Howard R .Young Correctional Institution on $39,300.00 secured bond.
