Dover- The Delaware State Police have arrested a Magnolia man after a pedestrian stop led to the discovery of drugs.
The incident occurred on March 20, 2019 at approximately 4:10 p.m., when the Kent County Governor’s Task Force (GTF) were on patrol on Mill Chop Lane and observed an individual committing a pedestrian violation. A stop was initiated and contact was made with 20-year old Xzavier Hovington. Hovington advised Troopers that he had a scale concealed in his pants.
A further search revealed that Hovington was in possession of 199 bags of suspected heroin. Hovington was found to be on probation. Dover Probation and Parole conducted an administrative search of Hovington’s residence in the 900 block of Dinah Corner Road. During this search, an additional 271 additional bags of suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia were located and seized.
Hovington was transported back to Troop 3 where he was charged with the following:
Hovington was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $10,201.00 cash only bond.
