Frederica– The Delaware State Police have arrested a Frederica man on multiple drug and weapon charges.
On Friday, February 22, 2019, at approximately 6:15 a.m., the Delaware State Police Kent County Drug Unit (KDU) with the assistance of the Delaware State Police Governor’s Task Force (GTF), conducted a traffic stop on N.E. Front Street, Milford, in the matter of 30-year-old Joseph Whaley who was known to have active felony warrants. Whaley was subsequently taken into custody without incident.
The Kent County GTF and KDU responded to the 200 Block of Market Street in Frederica to execute a residential search warrant in the matter of Joseph Whaley. Upon execution of the search warrant, four juveniles were present in the residence and the following items were recovered:
A follow up search warrant of the vehicle in which Whaley was operating was conducted and the following items were recovered:
Whaley was transported back to Troop 3 where he was charged with the following:
Whaley was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $82,400.00 cash only bond.
