Dover- The Delaware State Police have arrested a Dover man following a drug investigation involving the distribution of illegal drugs within the Capital Park community.
On February 13, 2019, the Delaware State Police Kent County Drug Unit (KDU) with the assistance of the Delaware State Police Special Operations Team (SORT) concluded a drug investigation involving the distribution of crack cocaine in the matter of 35-year-old Dewayne Bordley. A narcotics search warrant was executed at Bordley’s residence located in the 200 block of S. Governors Boulevard. Bordley initially resisted arrest and was subsequently taken into custody without further incident.
As a result of the search warrant, the following items were seized:
There was one juvenile present at the residence during this search. The Delaware Office of Animal Welfare was contacted to respond to the residence after a deceased dog was located on the property and also to check on the welfare of multiple other dogs.
Bordley was transported back to Troop 3 where he was charged with the following:
Bordley was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $27,001.00 secured bond.
