Dagsboro- The Delaware State with the assistance of Probation and Parole have arrested a Dagsboro man on multiple drug and weapon charges.
On Friday, January 25, 2019, at approximately 10:50 a.m., members of Sussex Governor’s Task Force responded to the 30000 block of Squirrel Lane to assist Probation Officers with an administrative search regarding probationer 52-year-old David Tharp.
Probation Officers were conducting a pre-approved administrative search at Tharp’s residence and located the following items:
• Approximately 14.49 grams of methamphetamine
• Drug Paraphernalia
• Llama .380 semi-automatic handgun
• .380 caliber ammunition
• Over $500.00 in suspected drug proceeds
Tharp is a person prohibited from possessing a firearm or ammunition. Tharp was taken into custody without incident and transported back to Troop 4 where he was charged with the following:
Tharp was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court 3 and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $4,600.00 secured bond.
