Millville- The Delaware State Police have arrested a Rehoboth Beach man in connection with two burglaries in the Millville By The Sea development.

On Saturday, December 1, 2018, a Trooper came in contact with 60-year-old Alan Mindrup behind a residence in the 31000 block of Reservoir Road.  It was discovered that Mindrup had just burglarized an attached garage at a residence in the 30000 block of Center Point Road and was being chased on foot by the homeowner.  The homeowner reported that Mindrup had entered his garage and took a jacket and baseball cap.

Further investigation revealed that the bike Mindrup was riding was stolen from an unsecured detached garage at a residence in the 31000 block of  Reservoir Road.

Mindrup was transported back to Troop 4 where he was charged with the following:

• Burglary Second Degree
• Burglary Third Degree
• Theft (2 counts)

Mindrup was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court 3 and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $10,000.00 secured bond.
