The incident occurred on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at approximately 8:00 p.m. when troopers were dispatched to the 7-Eleven Store located at 284 Christiana Road, New Castle for a report of a robbery. The investigation revealed the suspect entered the store and confronted the clerk. The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect fled the scene in a Dodge Dakota pickup truck.

Middletown Police Department was familiar with the vehicle and had active warrants on the suspect. They  assisted with the description of the vehicle and tag number.
