Milford- The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a multi-vehicle crash which occurred this afternoon at the intersection of Milford-Harrington Highway and Church Hill Road.

The investigation thus far has determined that the crash occurred today, Sunday, August 20, 2017 at approximately 4:28 p.m., on SR 14 in the area of Church Hill Road and includes multiple vehicles. Injuries have been reported in the crash, however, the exact number and extent of the injuries is unknown at this time.

All lanes are currently closes in the area of the crash to traffic and commuters are asked to find alternate routes of travel.

The investigation into this crash is in its early stages. More information will be released at the conclusion of the investigation.

Three Arrested in Farmington Meth Lab Operation

Farmington – The Delaware State Police have arrested three men after information was received into the manufacturing of Methamphetamine (Meth) at a residence west of Farmington.

On Sunday, August 20, 2017 at approximately 3:30 a.m., troopers responded to the 2000 block of Hickman Road, Farmington for a report of subjects manufacturing Methamphetamine in a trailer behind a residence. Upon arrival troopers observed equipment and component mixtures of the manufacturing stages of Meth and detected a strong odor of ammonia. When the Troopers contacted three suspects in the trailer they observed an active “one-pot” on the floor. At that time, the subjects were detained and the Kent County Drug Unit was contacted. Members of the Delaware State Police Kent County Drug Unit (KDU) and the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) arrived at the scene and confirmed that a “one-pot” meth manufacturing lab was present on the property. After a consent to search was obtained, components used to manufacture meth along with key ingredients in making the drug were safely collected and seized.

Brian W. Holben, 21 of Farmington, Hunter C. Stockman, 22 of Bridgeville and Lathan Verry, 21 of Greenwood were arrested without incident and transported to Troop 3, Camden where they were formally charged with Operating a Clandestine Laboratory and Conspiracy 2nd Degree. The suspects were arraigned before Justice of the Peace Court 7 and committed to James T. Vaugh Correctional Center in default of $6,000.00 secured bond.

Hickman Road was closed for approximately three hours until the scene was deemed safe. No evacuations were ordered as it was determined that there was no immediate hazard to nearby residents.

**UPDATE-BOTH SUBJECTS ARRESTED** Trooper Seek Public’s Assistance in Locating Burglary Suspects

Troopers arrested Danielle Poliseno and Zachary Knipple after making contact with them during a traffic stop last night. The two were taken into custody without incident and transported back to Troop 3 where they were each charged with two counts of each of the following: Burglary 3rd degree, Felony Theft, Conspiracy 2nd degree and Criminal Mischief.

Danielle Poliseno, 22 of Hartly and Zachary Knipple, 24 of Harrington, were both taken before the Justice of the Peace Court 2. Danielle Poliseno was released after posting $4,500.00 secured bond and Zachary Knipple was committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in default of $4,500.00 secured bond.

Danielle Poliseno and Zachary Knipple were both wanted in connection with two burglaries that occurred in July and August 2017 at the Equine Veterinary Supplies in Hartly, Delaware. In both burglaries horse medications were stolen.

Traffic Advisory-Wilmington Update: All lanes of SR 202 are open

Wilmington– Concord Pike (202 southbound) at Silverside Road, Wilmington is currently closed due to a two vehicle crash with vehicle on its side. Troopers are on scene investigating the crash.

Commuters are advised to use caution in the area and seek alternate routes of travel as crews will be working in the area.

**Traffic Advisory** – Troopers Investigating Multiple Vehicle Crash – Update

Middletown – The Delaware State Police continue to investigate a multi-vehicle crash which sent several people to area hospitals yesterday afternoon.

The investigation thus far has determined that the crash occurred at approximately 1:33 p.m., on Thursday, August 17, 2017, as Edwin Perez, 44, of Union, NJ, was operating a 2013 Freightliner tractor and trailer carrying 88 barrels of Aluminum Hydroxy gel, and was traveling in a northbound direction on SR1 approaching the Biddle Toll Plaza. Perez failed to see traffic that had slowed in front of him which caused the front of his truck to strike the rear of a 2013 GMC Yukon, which was being operated by a 49 year old Prince Frederick, MD woman, as well as the rear of a 2014 Chevrolet Express, which was being operated by a 61 year old New Jersey man. Both the GMC and the Chevrolet overturned after the initial impact. Perez’ vehicle then continued in a northbound direction and crossed the median, where it came to rest in the southbound SR 1 EZ Pass lanes.

The female operator of the GMC was treated at the scene by New Castle County Paramedics before being transported by ambulance to the Christiana Hospital. 

Two juvenile passengers in the GMC were also treated at the scene by Paramedics. They were then flown by Delaware State Police Aviation (Trooper 4) to the the A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children where they were treated for their serious injuries. Two other juvenile passengers in the van were removed from the scene by ambulance and transported to the A.I. DuPont Hospital where they were treated for their non-life threatening injuries.

Edwin Perez and the 61 year old operator of the Express were transported by ambulance to the Christiana Hospital where they were treated for their non-life threatening injuries.

Officers from the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control responded to the scene in order to clean up the spill of Aluminum Hydroxy.

The northbound and southbound EZ Pass lanes of SR 1 were closed for approximately 10 hours as the crash was investigated and cleared. 

This crash remains under investigation by the Delaware State Police.

Detectives Make Arrest in Camden-Wyoming Burglary

Camden-Wyoming – State Police Criminal Investigators have made an arrest into a residential burglary east of Camden-Wyoming.

Detectives recently arrested Zakhary J. Damron, 21 of Dover, and Yante Morrison, 21 of Camden-Wyoming, in connection with a residential burglary committed in the unit block of Brookview Avenue, Camden-Wyoming that occurred on August 11, 2017. It was reported that entry was made into a private residence where a valuable collection of foreign coins and paper currency were missing. Through investigative measures detectives were able to determine the collection was stolen by Damron and Morrision and taken to local pawn shops.

Zakhary J. Damron was transported to Troop 3 in Camden and formally charged with Burglary 2nd degree, Felony Theft, Conspiracy 2nd degree, Theft by False Pretense, Falsifying Business Records and Selling Stolen Property. He was taken before Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on $12,500.00 unsecured bond.

Yante Morrison was transported to Troop 3 in Camden and formally charged with Burglary 2nd degree, Felony Theft and Conspiracy 2nd degree. She was taken before Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on $11,500.00 unsecured bond.

**Update-Passenger Identified** State Police Investigate Fatal Crash – Delmar

Delmar- The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit has identified the male passenger, as Pedro Alvarez-Gonzalez of Mexico, who was killed in the crash at the intersection of Pepperbox Road and Whitesville Road, Delmar on Friday, August 4, 2017.

This crash remains under investigation.

Troopers Seek Public’s Assistance in Locating Wanted Subjects

Hartly – State Police are requesting assistance in locating Danielle Poliseno, 22 of Hartly and Zachary Knipple, 24 of Harrington, who are both wanted for two counts of each of the following: Burglary 3rd degree, Felony Theft, Conspiracy 2nd degree and Criminal Mischief.

Danielle Poliseno and Zachary Knipple are both wanted in connection with two burglaries that occurred in July and August 2017 at the Equine Veterinary Supplies in Hartly, Delaware. In both burglaries horse medications were stolen. Possible locations of the wanted subjects are Dover and Harrington.

Danielle Poliseno is a white female, approximately 5’02” tall, 115 lbs. with blue eyes and blond hair.

Zachary Knipple is white male, approximately 6’00” tall, 165 lbs. with brown eyes and brown hair.

New Castle Man Arrested Following Deli Robbery

New Castle (19720) – Delaware State Police have arrested a New Castle man and charged him in connection with the armed robbery of an area deli which occurred yesterday afternoon.

The investigation began at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, after a male suspect entered the Country Maid located at 192 Christiana Road. The suspect displayed a handgun and confronted a female clerk. He then demanded and received an undisclosed amount of money from the cash registers before exiting the business and fleeing on foot. The female clerk was not injured.

A witness who was entering the deli as the suspect was exiting, learned that he had just robbed the store and followed him in a northbound direction on Pleasant Place. This information was relayed to responding troopers, who located the suspect in the rear of the Pleasantville Elementary School. The suspect, later identified as Santos M. Banks, 31, ran from troopers, but was apprehended following a short foot pursuit.

Santos Banks was transported to Troop 2 where he was subsequently arrested and charged with Robbery 1st Degree and Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony. He was arraigned at JP Court 2 and committed to the Howard Young Correctional Institution in default of $45,000.00 secured bail.
