Troopers Seek Public’s Assistance Locating Home Invasion Suspect- Seaford

Seaford, DE- Delaware State Police seek the public’s assistance locating Danny Harding Jr., 36, of Dover, who is wanted on multiple felony criminal charges.

On October 25, 2021, at approximately 12:35 a.m., troopers were dispatched to the 9000 block of Middleford Road, Seaford, for a reported home invasion. The investigation determined three male suspects forced their way into the residence with handguns. Once inside, the suspect’s pistol-whipped two victims causing significant injuries, and demanded property from the victims. A physical altercation ensued between the suspects and victims. During the fight, one of the suspects fired two rounds inside the residence, not striking anyone. The suspects then fled the home with the victim’s property. The victims were transported to an area hospital for their injuries.

Through investigative measures, Danny Harding Jr. was identified as one of the suspects. Harding is described as a white male, blonde hair, blue eyes, 6′ 00″ tall, and weighs approximately 190 lbs. He also has multiple tattoos on his body. He may currently be in Kent or Sussex County. Harding is wanted on numerous felony charges, including Robbery First Degree, Assault Second Degree, Burglary First Degree, and Reckless Endangering First Degree.

The second suspect is described as a white male, wearing a face covering and in possession of a handgun.

The third suspect is described as a black male, wearing a face covering and in possession of a handgun. 

The investigation remains active and ongoing at this time. Delaware State Police Detectives Seek Public’s Assistance Identifying Burglary Suspects- Camden

Camden, DE- Delaware State Police seek the public’s assistance identifying two suspects wanted in connection to a residential burglary.

On October 6, 2021, at approximately 4:32 p.m., the two suspects entered a residence in the 500 block of Moose Lodge Road and stole a 70″ flat screen television. They then fled the scene in a blue Kia SUV with New Jersey registration, ZGW18X.

The first suspect is described as a white male, approximately 40- 50 years old, average build, 5’8″ to 6′ tall, and 190 to 210 lbs. He was wearing blue jeans, red shirt and spoke with a distinct accent.

 

The second suspect is described as a white female, approximately 30- 40 years old, with red/pink hair, average build, and is possibly pregnant. She was wearing a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt and light-colored pants.

Wilmington Woman Arrested for DUI After Crashing into Delaware State Police Vehicle on I-95 – Wilmington

Wilmington – The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating a crash that resulted in an arrest of a woman after she collided with a stopped State Police vehicle.

At approximately 1:56 a.m. this morning, Sunday, October 24, 2021, Troopers were dispatched to the area of I-95 southbound just south of Concord Pike (Route 202) for a report of a disabled vehicle in the left lane that was involved in a deer collision. Two troopers assigned to the Troop 1 barrack responded to the vehicle and positioned both of their patrol Tahoes directly behind the disabled car in the left lane with their emergency lights illuminated.

At approximately 02:31 a.m.,  a trooper’s patrol vehicle was rear-ended by a 2019 Dodge Caravan traveling in the left lane of southbound I-95. The 29-year-old operator identified as Monica Cole and passenger were transported to Wilmington Hospital for non-life threating injuries. The injured trooper was transported by another state police vehicle to Wilmington Hospital with a neck and back injury.

During the on-scene investigation, it was suspected Cole was operating the vehicle under the influence. Subsequently, a DUI investigation ensued.

Cole was issued traffic citations for DUI, Driving Without a Valid License, Failure to Have Insurance Identification in Possession, Failure to Yield for Emergency Vehicles, Failure to Reduce Speed for Stopped Emergency Vehicles, Careless Driving, Failure to Remain Within a Single Lane, Unreasonable Speed, Following a Motor Vehicle Too Closely, and Traffic Control Devices Designate Lane.

The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Collision Reconstruction Unit is continuing their investigation into the crash. Delaware State Police Conducting Homicide Investigation- Seaford

Seaford- Delaware State Police are conducting a homicide investigation that occurred Sunday morning in Seaford.

On October 24, 2021, at approximately 2:11 a.m., the Seaford Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire at a residence located on the 11000 block of Hastings Farm Road, Seaford.  Upon entry into the residence, firefighters extinguished the fire and located a victim deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. Troopers then responded to the residence and secured the scene. 

The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit took over the investigation of the incident. Initial investigation revealed that the 39-year-old victim was inside of the residence when unknown suspects forced entry through a side door and fired multiple rounds. The victim was shot once and fell to the living room floor. The suspects then set a fire in the living room before fleeing the residence on foot.

The body was turned over to the Division of Forensic Science for an autopsy. Identification of the victim is pending notification to the next of kin.

There is currently no suspect information available.

Hastings Farm Road was closed for approximately 7 hours while the incident was investigated.

This case remains an active and ongoing investigation being conducted by the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit. Delaware State Police Investigating Fatal Single Motor Vehicle Collision- Bear

Bear- Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal single motor vehicle collision that occurred Saturday evening on Route 1.

On Saturday, October 23, 2021, at approximately 5:20 p.m., a 2006 Chevrolet Corvette was traveling southbound Route 1 on ramp from Route 72.  At the time of the collision there was steady rain.  The Corvette was traveling down the ramp and for unknown reasons lost control and exited off the right side of the roadway.  The Corvette began to rotate clockwise while traveling down an embankment until its driver’s side door impacted a tree.

The 68-year-old male operator and sole occupant of the Corvette was pronounced deceased at the scene. Identification of the victim is pending notification to the next of kin.

Route 1 on ramp from Route 72 was closed for approximately 3.5 hours while the crash was investigated, and the roadway cleared.

Delaware State Police Conducting Criminal Investigation- Seaford

Seaford- Delaware State Police are currently conducting a criminal investigation on the 11000 block of Hastings Farm Road. As a result, there is an increased police presence in the area. This investigation is in the early stages but there is no threat to the safety of the community. Hastings Farm Road is closed in the area of Coverdale Road as a result of this investigation. Delaware State Police Investigating Fatal Single Motor Vehicle Collision- Dover

Dover- Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal single motor vehicle collision that occurred this morning on White Oak Road.

On Saturday, October 23, 2021, at approximately 8:18 a.m., a 2002 Toyota Highlander was traveling eastbound on White Oak Road towards Bayside Drive (Route 9). The Toyota drifted from the eastbound lane, across the westbound lane, and off the northern edge of the roadway. The Toyota traveled down into a ditch before striking a large tree. After impact, the Toyota rolled over onto its roof for a final resting place, partially within the westbound lane.  

The 59-year-old male operator and sole occupant of the Toyota was transported to BayHealth Kent Campus hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Identification of the victim is pending notification to the next of kin.

White Oak Road between Bayside Drive and Long Point Road was closed for approximately 3.5 hours while the crash was investigated, and the roadway cleared.

*Traffic Advisory* State Police Investigating Serious Crash – Dover

Dover – Delaware State Police are on the scene of a serious motor vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 8:45 a.m., this morning, October 23, 2021, on White Oak Road at Bayside Drive.

As a result of the crash, White Oak Road is closed between Bayside Drive and Long Point Road with emergency response vehicles on scene. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes of travel. The road closure is anticipated to be lengthy, with no estimated time for a re-opening.
