Greenwood, DE– The Delaware State Police have arrested four suspects after a search warrant led to the discovery of multiple drugs and weapons.
On October 3, 2019 at approximately 1:30 p.m., the Delaware State Police Kent County Governor’s Task Force (GTF) and Kent County Drug Unit (KDU) with the assistance of the Special Operations Response Team (SORT) and Sussex Drug Unit (SDU) concluded a two month drug investigation into the matter of 27-year-old Demond L. Anderson, 55-year-old Karen A. Clineff, 35-year-old Steven R. Keely and 58-year-old Steven C. Keely. A search warrant was obtained for their residence in the 6200 block of Hickman Road, Greenwood, in which all four suspects reside.
Upon arrival to the residence, the four suspects were taken into custody without incident. A subsequent search of the residence led to the discovery of the following:
- 2,175 bags of heroin, approximately 15.225 grams
- Approximately 4.5 grams of cocaine
- Approximately 1.58 grams of crystal meth
- Approximately 9.34 grams of marijuana
- Approximately 15 Oxycodone pills
- 1 dosage unit MDMA
- A total of 24 Guns, including: 6 Handguns, 1 assault rifle and 17 assorted long guns
- Over $1,400 in suspected drug proceeds
All four suspects were transported back to Troop 3 where they were charged with the following:
Demond L. Anderson:
- Possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 5 quantity
- Possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a Tier 4 quantity
- Possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (3 counts)
- Possession of a deadly weapon by person prohibited who also possesses a controlled substance
- Conspiracy Second Degree
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Possession of a controlled or counterfeit substance
Anderson was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $70,500.00 secured bond.
Karen A. Clineff:
- Maintaining a Drug Property
- Possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 5 quantity
- Possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a Tier 4 quantity
- Possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (3 counts)
- Possession of a deadly weapon by person prohibited who also possesses a controlled substance
- Conspiracy Second Degree
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Possession of a controlled or counterfeit substance
Clineff was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $73,000.00 secured bond.
Steven R. Keely:
- Possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 5 quantity
- Possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a Tier 4 quantity
- Possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (3 counts)
- Possession of a deadly weapon by person prohibited who also possesses a controlled substance
- Conspiracy Second Degree
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Possession of a controlled or counterfeit substance
Steven R. Keely was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $70,500.00 secured bond.
Steven C. Keely:
- Maintaining a Drug Property
- Possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 5 quantity
- Possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a Tier 4 quantity
- Possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (3 counts)
- Possession of a deadly weapon by person prohibited who also possesses a controlled substance
- Conspiracy Second Degree
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Possession of a controlled or counterfeit substance
Steven C. Keely was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $73,000.00 secured bond.
