Delaware State Police have identified 58-year-old Antonio Hopkins of Millsboro, Delaware, as the man who died in a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred Sunday morning in Millsboro.

State Police Investigating Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Millsboro

The Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred early this morning in Millsboro that left one man dead.

On May 25, 2025, at approximately 2:30 a.m., a 2006 Toyota Sienna was traveling southbound on Millsboro Highway, just north of East Line Road. At the same time, a 2010 Victory motorcycle was traveling northbound on Millsboro Highway, in the same area. For reasons under investigation, the Toyota failed to maintain its lane as it navigated a curve in the roadway, and entered the motorcycle’s path of travel in the northbound lane of Millsboro Highway. As a result, the Toyota struck the motorcycle, causing the motorcyclist to be ejected.

The motorcyclist, a 58-year-old man from Millsboro, Delaware, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is being withheld until his family and relatives are notified.

The driver of the Toyota, a 48-year-old man from Salisbury, Maryland, was not injured. Two of the Toyota’s passengers were taken to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. A third passenger was not injured.

The roadway was closed for approximately 3.5 hours while the scene was investigated and cleared.

State Police Investigating Accidental Shooting in Magnolia

Delaware State Police are investigating an accidental shooting that occurred Tuesday night in Magnolia that left one man dead.

On May 20, 2025, at approximately 8:07 p.m., troopers were dispatched to a field on Walnut Shade Road near Autumn Moon Road in Magnolia for a report of an accidental shooting. When troopers arrived, they found a 21-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound and began life saving efforts. The victim was taken by ambulance to an area hospital where he died from his injuries. The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim, and three others, were target shooting when the victim was shot. The investigation is active and ongoing.

Detectives Investigating Armed Robbery of Armored Transport Vehicle in Wilmington

The Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery of a Loomis armored transport vehicle guard that occurred yesterday afternoon in Wilmington.

On May 21, 2025, at approximately 12:38 p.m., troopers responded to the Restaurant Depot, located at 200 Cornell Drive, Wilmington, for a report of an armed robbery of a Loomis armored transport vehicle. The preliminary investigation revealed that 3 unknown black male suspects confronted an armed Loomis guard as he was returning to the armored transport vehicle with a cash carrying bag. One of the suspects displayed a firearm while another suspect disarmed the guard and took the cash carrying bag. Following this, the suspects attempted to enter the armored transport vehicle, which was occupied by a second Loomis guard. After the suspects were unable to enter the armored transport vehicle, one of the suspects fled in a dark-colored Nissan SUV with an undisclosed amount of money in the cash carrying bag, and the other 2 suspects fled on foot toward Hastie Drive. The guards were not injured.

The suspects are described as unknown black males, who are possibly armed. Surveillance video and images are not yet available.

Detectives Investigating Armed Robbery in Bear Area Shopping Center

The Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in the Salem Center parking lot in Bear on Monday afternoon.

On May 19, 2025, at approximately 2:15 p.m., troopers responded to a report of an armed robbery in the parking lot of the Salem Center, located at 1693 Pulaski Highway in Bear. The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was involved in an argument with a suspect while in the parking lot. During the argument, a second suspect approached, and displayed a handgun. The 2 suspects then conspired to take the victim’s vehicle, and fled from the shopping center in the stolen vehicle.

The suspects are described as unknown males. Surveillance video and images are not yet available.

State Police Investigating Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash in Millsboro

Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred yesterday in Millsboro that left one man dead.

On May 20, 2025, at approximately 5:16 p.m., a Lincoln MKZ was traveling westbound on Hollyville Road near Harmon’s Hill Road. At the same time, a Cadillac Escalade was traveling eastbound on Hollyville Road near Harmon’s Hill Road. For reasons still under investigation, the Lincoln entered the eastbound lane of travel into the path of the Cadillac. In an attempt to avoid the collision, the Cadillac swerved to the right shoulder where the front of the Lincoln struck the front of the Cadillac.

The unrestrained driver of the Lincoln, a 19-year-old man from Dagsboro, Delaware, was taken to an area hospital where he died. His name is being withheld until his family is notified.

The driver of the Cadillac, a 52-year-old woman from Dagsboro, Delaware was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A passenger, a 56-year-old woman from Millsboro, Delaware, was also taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The roadway was closed for an extended time while the scene was investigated and cleared.

State Police Investigating Robbery at Wilmington Area Family Dollar

Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery that occurred Saturday afternoon at the Family Dollar in Wilmington.

On May 17, 2025, at approximately 3:15 p.m., troopers responded to the Family Dollar, located at 1311 East Newport Gap Pike, Wilmington, for a report of a robbery. The preliminary investigation revealed a black male suspect entered the business, selected merchandise, and approached the counter demanding money with a handgun. The employee did not comply, and the suspect fled with the merchandise from the store in a silver SUV. Surveillance video and images are not yet available.
