Dover- The Delaware State Police are investigating a shots fired incident that occurred earlier this morning in Kent Acres, Dover.

The incident occurred on January 21, 2020 at approximately 1:40 a.m., when Troopers were dispatched to the unit block of Steele Road, Kent Acres, Dover for a report of shots fired.  Upon arrival, Troopers met with the occupants who advised that they while they were sleeping, they were awoken by gunshots. Further investigation revealed that unknown suspect(s) had fired at the residence, striking the exterior with approximately 17 rounds. There were four occupants in the residence ranging from ages 52-15.  There were no reports of any injuries as a result of this incident.

Newark – The Delaware State Police are investigating a pair of burglaries at Newark area Domino’s Pizza locations and are asking for the public’s help in identifying one of the suspects.

The first burglary occurred between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday December 31, 2019 at the Domino’s located at 12 Polly Drummond Hill Rd., Polly Drummond Shopping Center in Newark. In this incident three suspects made forcible entry to the business through the rear door and then successfully accessed a safe, making off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

During the overnight hours of Sunday, January 5^th into Monday, January 6^th a second burglary occurred at the Domino’s located at 20 Salem Village Square in Newark. In this incident forcible entry was again made through the rear door of the business, however no cash or other property was taken.

Through various investigative measures detectives were able to determine that the incidents are linked and that at least three suspects are involved. Two of the suspects can only be described as wearing all dark clothing, to include a cloth concealing their faces. One of the suspects, who is pictured in the attached surveillance images from the Polly Drummond location, has a tattoo on his left hand. No other images are available at this time.

Felton- The Delaware State Police are currently on scene investigating a shots fired complaint.

The incident occurred on January 19, 2020 at approximately 5:48 p.m., when Troopers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Barney Jenkins Road, Felton, for a report of multiple shots being fired.

The investigation is in its very early stages with further information being released as it becomes available.

Bridgeville- The Delaware State Police are attempting to locate 48-year-old Kenneth E. Greene of Laurel, who is wanted on a felony assault charge.

The incident occurred on January 3, 2020, when a 28-year-old female victim was attending a “block party” in the area.  After an alleged drug transaction took place, the victim was approached by Greene who began physically assaulting her.  The victim was left unconscious on the ground.  She subsequently regained consciousness and was able to leave the area.  The victim sought medical care and was transported to the hospital with serious non-life threatening injuries.

Troopers have been unable to locate Greene who currently has an active warrant out of Troop 4 for Assault 2nd Degree (Felony).  Greene is 6’00” tall, 160 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.  He may be operating a gray Nissan Altima or Maxima.  Anyone with information in reference to Greene’s whereabouts is asked to contact Troop 4, Corporal Gambale at 302-856-5850.

Newark – The Delaware State Police are investigating an attempted carjacking that took place in the parking lot of a Newark area shopping center in which the suspect identified himself as a law enforcement officer.

The incident occurred at approximately 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 13, 2020 in the parking lot of the Salem Village Square Shopping Center, Newark. A 20 year old male had just exited a business and was seated in his vehicle in the lot when a dark colored vehicle pulled up. A male suspect exited the vehicle, approached the victim and identified himself as a law enforcement officer. The suspect then advised the victim that he needed to take his vehicle. The victim refused at which time the suspect produced a handgun. Upon seeing the weapon the victim drove off. The suspect never specified an agency nor produced any credentials. The victim was not injured as a result of the incident.

The suspect was described as a black male, 5’8”-5’10’ tall, average build, and in possession of a handgun.

Harbeson- The Delaware State Police are investigating a home invasion that occurred last evening.

The incident occurred on January 13, 2020 at approximately 7:42 p.m., when Troopers were dispatched to a residence in the 22000 block of Danfield Drive, Harbeson, for a report of a home invasion.  Upon arrival, Troopers learned that a white female with pink hair knocked on the side door of the residence and advised the 31-year-old female resident who opened the door that she had ran out of gas.  Immediately after, two black males with their faces covered entered the residence with black semi-automatic handguns.  A 49-year-old female was sitting on the couch when one of the suspects took her phone as she was attempting to call 911.  The second suspect proceeded into the back of the residence where he encountered a 51-year-old male resident coming out of a bedroom.  The suspect struck the 51-year-old over the head with the weapon and demanded money.  The victim turned over an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect and the 51-year-old male ended up outside the residence.  The second suspect remained inside and was arguing with the 49-year-old female who was preventing the suspect from entering a bathroom where a 21-year-old female had locked herself inside.  The 31-year-old female was able to exit the residence with her two children ages 8 and 9.  The 51-year-old male ran back inside the residence and locked the door.  The suspect who was outside at this time, proceeded to kick in the door and re-entered the residence.  The suspect then proceeded to fire one round, striking a wall.  Both suspects then fled the residence in an unknown direction.

The 51-year-old male victim sustained minor injures and was treated at a local area hospital.  There were no other injures reported as a result of this incident.

There is no suspect information at this time.
