Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery that occurred Monday evening at Christiana Mall’s Levi’s.

On December 1, 2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m., troopers responded to a report of a robbery at Levi’s located inside the Christina Mall at 132 Christiana Mall Road in Newark. The preliminary investigation revealed an unknown black male entered the store, shoved the clerk who was counting money, and fled after taking an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. No one was injured during the incident.

Delaware State Police Troop 2 Robbery Unit continues to investigate this incident. Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this case to contact Detective D. The Delaware State Police arrested 43-year-old Dionne Warner of Harrington, Delaware, for aggravated menacing and weapon-related charges following a series of shots-fired incidents between Saturday evening and Sunday morning in Harrington.

On November 29, 2025, at approximately 9:00 p.m., troopers responded to the 500 block of Staytonville Road in Harrington for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, troopers learned that a small passenger car had been seen leaving the area after several shots were heard. At approximately 11:15 p.m., troopers responded back to the same location after the same passenger car returned and fired a shot towards the residence. The car was seen circling the area several times before fleeing. During the investigation, troopers recovered a spent shell casing and live ammunition at the scene.

On November 30, 2025, at approximately 5:00 a.m., the same vehicle returned and fled the area after additional shots were heard. At approximately 10:30 a.m., an unknown black male driver was seen yelling from the same passenger car involved in the previous reported incidents. No homes in the area were struck, and no injuries were reported as a result of the gunfire in any of the events.

Through investigative means, Dionne Warner was identified as the suspect during the shots-fired incidents. Warner did not appear to have any ties with the residents. The investigation revealed that during each incident, Warner was reportedly searching for a family member he believed was in the area. However, detectives confirmed there is no known affiliation between that individual and the residents.

On November 30, 2025, troopers arrested Warner at his residence without incident on a separate active warrant. Warner, who is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing deadly weapons, was taken to Troop 3 where he was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $47,000 cash bond.

• Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)
• Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited (Felony)
• Aggravated Menacing (Felony) – 4 counts
• Harassment – 4 counts

Delaware State Police has identified 60-year-old Roy Childress, of Middletown, Delaware, as the man who died in the four-car fatal crash in Newark on Saturday.

Delaware State Police has arrested 48-year-old Danielle Marshall, from Tampa, Florida, in connection with an identity theft investigation that occurred Friday in Bear.

On November, 28, 2025, at approximately 11:00 a.m., troopers responded to the Citizens Bank, located at 146 Fox Hunt Drive, in Bear, for a reported fraud in progress. When troopers arrived, bank staff said that a women attempted to use a fake New Jersey driver’s license and a bank card belonging to an account holder to change the account holder’s information. The fake driver’s license had the woman’s photograph but with the account holder’s legitimate personal information. Bank staff said they were notified of the woman’s description after she attempted the same thing at another area Citizens Bank earlier in the day, but she was unsuccessful.

Bank staff provided troopers a description of the woman, who was in the process of leaving the area. Troopers located and arrested the woman, who was identified as Danielle Marshall.

Marshall was taken to Troop 2 where she was charged with Identity Theft (Felony), arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 11, and committed to the Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on a $10,000.00 secured bond.

The Delaware State Police is investigating a four-car fatal crash that occurred Saturday morning in Newark.

On November 29, 2025, at approximately 9:45 a.m., a Honda Civic, followed by an unknown vehicle, a Subaru Impreza, and a Hyundai Elantra, were all traveling northbound on Salem Church Road, south of the overpass for I-95. At the same time, a Chevrolet Malibu was traveling southbound on Salem Church Road, but was in the northbound lane as it approached the line of northbound cars.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the unknown vehicle entered the southbound lane in an attempt to pass the Honda Civic. As the unknown vehicle and the Malibu approached each other, the Malibu swerved back into the southbound lane but then overcorrected and swerved back into the northbound lane, crashing head-on into the Civic. The Malibu continued southbound before crashing into the Impreza, and then the Elantra.

The driver of the Civic, a 60-year-old man from Middletown, Delaware, was pronounced dead on scene. His name is being withheld until his family is notified.

The driver of the Impreza, a 36-year-old man from Newark, Delaware, and the driver of the Elantra, a 32-year-old man from Wilmington, Delaware, did not report any injuries on scene.

The driver of the Malibu, a 21-year-old man from Dover, Delaware, was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The unknown vehicle did not crash and drove away from the scene.

The roadway was closed for approximately 4 hours while the scene was investigated and cleared.

Delaware State Police have arrested 22-year-old Wajahne Leggett, from Wilmington, Delaware, for felony drug charges during a DUI checkpoint early Thursday morning in New Castle.

On November 27, 2025, troopers and partnering agencies were working a DUI checkpoint, organized by the Office of Highway Safety, on Wilmington Road, near Municipal Boulevard, in New Castle. At approximately 12:15 a.m., a Toyota Camry entered the checkpoint and troopers contacted the driver, identified as Wajahne Leggett. Troopers saw cash and several individually packaged bags of suspected marijuana in plain view, consistent with drug sales. A search of the Camry led to the discovery of 481 grams of suspected marijuana and $1,230.00 in suspected drug proceeds.

Leggett was arrested and taken to the New Castle City Police Department where he was charged with the below listed offenses, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 11, and released on a $3,000.00 unsecured bond.

• Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (Felony)
• Possession of a Controlled Substance Tier 1 Quantity (Felony)

Delaware State Police arrested 29-year-old Donald Tinley, Jr., of Milton, following a robbery investigation that began on Monday morning.

On November 24, 2025, at approximately 11:00 a.m., troopers responded to the business, located at 25776 Deep Branch Road in Milton, for a reported robbery. The preliminary investigation revealed that an unknown suspect entered the store, went behind the counter, demanded that the clerk remove money from the registers, and took the clerk’s car keys. No one was injured during the incident. The suspect then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and the clerk’s vehicle. A short time later, troopers located the stolen vehicle unoccupied in the area of New Hope Road in Ellendale. The suspect was described as a white male wearing a face covering.

Through investigative leads, troopers identified Donald Tinley as the suspect responsible for the robbery. On November 26, 2025, troopers located Tinley at a residence in the Milton area, where he was taken into custody without incident.

Tinley was transported to Troop 4, where he was charged with the offenses listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $10,500 cash bond.

• Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)
• Theft of a Motor Vehicle (Felony)

On November 24, 2025, at approximately 11:00 a.m., troopers responded to the business, located at 25776 Deep Branch Road, for a reported robbery. A preliminary investigation revealed that an unknown suspect entered the store, went behind the counter, demanded that the clerk remove money from the registers, and took the clerk’s car keys. No one was injured during the incident. The suspect then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and the clerk’s vehicle.

A short time later, troopers located the vehicle unoccupied in the area of New Hope Road in Ellendale.

The suspect is described as a white male who was wearing a face covering.
