*UPDATE- Victim Identified* Delaware State Police Conducting Homicide Investigation- Wyoming

Wyoming, DE- Delaware State Police have identified Keyshawn Narcisse, 37, of Wyoming, DE, as the individual who died during an early Sunday morning homicide.

On February 6, 2022, at approximately 3:01 a.m., troopers and officers from Wyoming Police Department and Camden Police Department responded to a residence located in the 100 block of South Caesar Rodney Avenue,  in reference a shooting incident. Responding troopers and officers located Keyshawn Narcisse, lying directly in front of the residence suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Narcisse was transported by ambulance to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. 

This case remains an active and ongoing investigation being conducted by the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit. Delaware State Police Investigating Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash – Felton

Felton– Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 6:02 p.m., Sunday, February 6, 2022, on Irish Hill Road west of Blaine Drive.

The initial investigation has determined a 2007 Hyundai Accent, operated by a 36-year-old Magnolia woman, was traveling eastbound on Irish Hill Road, west of Blaine Drive. At this time, a 2010 Toyota Corolla, operated by a 18-year-old Milford man, was traveling westbound on Irish Hill Road approaching the same location as the Hyundai. The Toyota was traveling directly behind a large pick-up truck as both vehicles approached.  The Toyota entered the eastbound travel lane attempting to legally pass the truck but pulled directly into the path of the Hyundai. Both vehicles attempted to avoid striking each other by exiting off the south edge of roadway, but the vehicles ultimately struck head-on as a result.  After impact both vehicles were forced in a southwesterly direction both rotating slightly clockwise, and came to rest in a field off of the roadway.

The 36-year-old Magnolia female operator of the Hyundai who was not properly restrained, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Identification of the victim is pending notification to the next of kin. There was one passenger inside of the Hyundai that was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The 18-year-old Milford male operator of the Toyota who was not properly restrained, was transported to BayHealth-Kent Campus where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. Identification of the victim is pending notification to the next of kin. There were two passengers inside of the Toyota that was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The roadway was closed for approximately 3.5 hours while the investigation was completed, and the roadway was cleared.

*Traffic Advisory* Delaware State Police Investigating Serious Crash- Magnolia

Magnolia – Delaware State Police are on the scene of a serious motor vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 6:03 p.m. this evening, February 6, 2022, on Irish Hill Road west of Fox Chase Road.

As a result of the crash, Irish Hill Road is closed between Canterbury Road and Fox Chase Road for emergency response vehicles on scene. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes of travel. The road closure is anticipated to be lengthy, with no estimated time for a re-opening.

Delaware State Police Investigating Robbery of Convenience Store- Newark

Newark– Delaware State Police are investigating the robbery of a Newark area convenience store that occurred this morning.

At approximately 9:37 a.m., Saturday, February 5, 2022, troopers responded to the Dash In, located at 1148 Christiana Road, Newark, for an armed robbery. The investigation determined a male suspect entered the store and confronted an employee behind the sales counter. The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money from the cash register. The employee complied and the suspect fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was last seen running towards the rear of the business onto westbound Greentree Road.

The suspect was described as a white male in his mid-20’s to early 30’s, approximately 5’10”-6’ tall, wearing all dark clothing, a mask, and armed with a black handgun.

Delaware State Police Investigate Fatal Crash Involving Tractor Trailer- Laurel

Laurel- Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash involving a tractor trailer that occurred late Friday night.

On February 4, 2022, at approximately 11:14 p.m., a 2017 Nissan Sentra, operated by a 72-year-old man of Millsboro, DE was traveling eastbound on Laurel Road, just west of Hitch Pond Road. At this time, a 2019 Kenworth tractor trailer, operated by a 60-year-old man of Bridgeville, DE was traveling westbound on Laurel Road, in the same area.  For unknown reasons, the tractor trailer entered the eastbound lane of travel and the front of the Kenworth struck the front of the Nissan. After impact, the Nissan rotated approximately 180 degrees as it was pushed in a westerly direction before coming to rest on the eastbound shoulder of Laurel Road. The tractor trailer continued westbound before coming to rest in the eastbound lane of Laurel Road.

The operator of the Nissan was not restrained and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Identification is pending notification to next of kin.

The operator of the Kenworth tractor trailer was properly restrained and was uninjured in the collision.

Laurel Road was closed for approximately 4.5 hours while the crash was investigated and the roadway cleared.
