The victim was 42-year-old Bobby Pipkins Jr., a resident of Oxford, Pennsylvania. Mr. Pipkins had been previously reported missing to the Wilmington Police Department on November 25, 2023.

Delaware State Police are investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash that was reported yesterday afternoon in north Wilmington.

On December 6, 2023, at approximately 4:09 p.m., troopers were called to the site of a crash after a passing motorist noticed a vehicle off the roadway. The investigation revealed that between November 25 and December 6, 2023, a black Mitsubishi Outlander was traveling westbound on Lancaster Pike, just west of Hercules Road. For unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed into the eastbound lane and drove off the south edge of the road, eventually crashing into a guardrail. After that, the car continued through some vegetation before hitting two trees. During the crash, the driver was ejected from the car, and the vehicle finally came to rest in a creek located south of Lancaster Pike.

The driver, a 42-year-old man from Oxford, Pennsylvania, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is being withheld until his family is notified.

Lancaster Pike was closed for approximately 4 hours while the crash was investigated and obstructions were removed from the roadway.

The Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal crash occurred on Sunday afternoon in Seaford that left one woman dead.

On December 3, 2023, at approximately 4:18 p.m., a 2018 Nissan Versa was traveling northbound in the right lane of Sussex Highway approaching the intersection of Middleford Road. At the same time, a 2014 Honda Odyssey was traveling westbound on Middleford Road, approaching the intersection of Sussex Highway. The Versa failed to stop at the red light and proceeded into the intersection, into the Odyssey’s path of travel. The front of the Versa impacted the left front side of Odyssey within the intersection.

The driver of the Versa, a 74-year-old woman from Seaford, Delaware, was taken to an area hospital by ambulance where she later died. Her name is being withheld until her family and relatives are notified.

The driver of the Odyssey, a 47-year-old woman from Seaford, Delaware, and passengers were taken to an area hospital by ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries.

The roadway was closed for approximately three and a half hours while the scene was investigated and cleared.

The Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred Sunday evening in Seaford that left one man dead.

On December 3, 2023, at approximately 9:15 p.m., a 2019 maroon Dodge Grand Caravan was stopped on the right shoulder of Sussex Highway, south of Ockles Road. For unknown reasons, the 88-year-old driver of the Dodge exited the van and was in the right southbound lane of Sussex Highway in the path of travel of an approaching 2005 gold Lincoln Town Car. The 88-year-old man was not wearing or carrying any type of reflective clothing and was struck by the Lincoln in the right lane. As a result, the man was thrown onto the roadway and came to rest on the west edge of the grass median.

The driver of the Dodge, a man from Laurel, Delaware, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is being withheld until his family and relatives are notified.

The driver of the Lincoln, a 68-year-old man from Delmar, Delaware, was not injured.

The roadway was closed for approximately 3.5 hours while the scene was investigated and cleared.

On December 1, 2023, at approximately 3:11 p.m., a 2001 Buick Century was traveling eastbound on Rose Bowl Road. The Buick stopped at the stop sign at North Dupont Highway. At the same time, a 2012 Nissan Sentra was traveling southbound in the left lane of North Dupont Highway, approaching Rose Bowl Road. The Buick moved from the stop sign attempting to cross the southbound lanes of North Dupont Highway, in front of the Nissan, resulting in the Nissan striking the Buick’s driver side door in the left lane of North Dupont Highway.

The driver of the Buick, a 59-year-old woman from Hartly, Delaware, was taken to an area hospital by ambulance, where she died. Her name is being withheld until her family and relatives are notified.

The driver of the Nissan, a 21-year-old woman from Smyrna, Delaware, was taken to an area hospital by ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries.
