The Delaware State Police are investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash that occurred this morning in Camden that left one man dead.

On June 26, 2024, at approximately 5:00 a.m., a 2009 Cadillac Escalade was traveling eastbound on Walnut Shade Road, west of Barney Jenkins Road. At the same time, a 2016 Honda Accord was traveling westbound on Walnut Shade Road, approaching the Cadillac. For unknown reasons, the Cadillac failed to maintain its lane and crossed the centerline into the Honda’s path of travel. As a result, the front of the Cadillac struck the front of the Honda in the westbound lane of Walnut Shade Road.

The driver of the Honda, identified as 31-year-old Brian Moore of Magnolia, Delaware, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been notified.

The driver of the Cadillac, an 18-year-old man from Bear, Delaware, was taken by ambulance to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The Cadillac’s passenger, a 19-year-old woman from Harrington, Delaware, was flown to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The roadway was closed for approximately 3 hours while the scene was investigated and cleared.

The Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Wilmington area AT&T that occurred on Saturday evening.

On June 22, 2024, at approximately 8:10 p.m., troopers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the AT&T located at 3601 Concord Pike in Wilmington. The preliminary investigation revealed two unknown male suspects, who were armed with firearms, entered the business and confronted an employee while demanding access to the safe. The employee complied, and the suspects stole a large quantity of electronic merchandise. The suspects then fled in an unknown direction in a white sedan.

The suspects are described as black males wearing dark-colored clothing and masks covering their faces. There is no further description available for the white sedan. Surveillance video and images of the suspects and suspect vehicle are not available.

Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Saturday morning on I-95 near Exit 141 in New Castle.

On June 22, 2024, at approximately 1:13 a.m., troopers were called for a shooting where one man was shot. Troopers learned that a 35-year-old male victim was taken to a local hospital for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his upper back shoulder.

A preliminary investigation revealed the victim was a passenger of a white Hyundai Sonata. At approximately 1:06 a.m., as the Sonata merged onto I-95 northbound, an unknown light-colored sedan with dark-tinted windows and bright fluorescent headlights drove directly next to it. The suspect pointed a gun and shot at the Sonata three times before fleeing the area on I-95 northbound.

The Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal collision involving a gas-powered bike that occurred yesterday afternoon in Wilmington that left one man dead.

On June 20, 2024, at approximately 2:21 p.m., a grey 2009 Audi A4 was traveling westbound on West Newport Pike, approaching Silview Avenue. As the Audi was in the process of making a right turn into a private parking lot on W. Newport Pike, it was struck by a 4-stroke mini gas-powered bike that was traveling on the shoulder of W. Newport Pike westbound. After the impact, the operator of the bike was ejected from the bike. At the time of the collision, the shoulder of W. Newport Pike westbound was closed off by construction cones for active construction in the vicinity.

The operator of the bike, a 22-year-old man from Wilmington, Delaware, was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name is being withheld until his family and relatives are notified.

The driver of the Audi, a 43-year-old woman from Wilmington, Delaware, was not injured.

The roadway was closed for approximately 2 hours while the scene was investigated and cleared.

The Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred early this morning near Milton that left one woman dead.

On June 21, 2024, at approximately 12:15 a.m., a Nissan Altima was driving northbound in the right lane on Coastal Highway, north of Oyster Rocks Road. At the same time, a Dodge Charger was stopped on the shoulder of Coastal Highway northbound, north of Oyster Rocks Road. The preliminary investigation revealed that a passenger of the Charger was out of the car, looking for her cell phone. While she was looking for her cell phone, she stepped in the roadway, into the Nissan’s path of travel. As a result, the front of the Nissan hit the pedestrian.

The pedestrian, an 18-year-old woman from Linwood, Pennsylvania, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name is being withheld until her family is notified.

The driver of the Nissan, a 34-year-old woman from Dover, Delaware, was not injured.

The roadway was closed for approximately 4 hours while the scene was investigated and cleared.

The Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery that occurred early this morning at a New Castle area Dash In gas station.

On June 20, 2024, at approximately 4:16 a.m., troopers responded to a report of a robbery at the Dash In located at 154 North Dupont Highway in New Castle. The preliminary investigation revealed an unknown white male suspect entered the Dash In and demanded the employee empty the cash register while implying he was in possession of a firearm. The employee complied and the suspect fled on foot southbound on N. Dupont Highway with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing dark-colored clothing and a mask. Surveillance video and images are not yet available.
