The Delaware State Police have obtained an arrest warrant for 22-year-old Arturo Morgado-Sanchez of Greenwood, Delaware, following an attempted robbery and shooting that occurred Friday night in Seaford.
On August 21, 2026, at approximately 9:30 p.m., troopers responded to Tidal Health Nanticoke for a 26-year-old man who was being treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The preliminary investigation revealed that at approximately 8:30 p.m., the victim was walking on Brickyard Road near the Mobile Gardens community, when a truck stopped behind him. The suspect, who is known to the victim and identified as Arturo Morgado-Shanchez, got out of the truck, demanded the victim’s property, and shot him. He was taken to the hospital by private vehicle.
The Delaware State Police Troop 4 Criminal Investigations Unit continues to investigate this incident. Detectives are asking anyone with information as to Morgado-Sanchez’s whereabouts to call 9-1-1. Anyone with relevant information about the case is asked to contact Detective J. O’Neil at (302) 752-3810.
