The Delaware State Police is investigating two robberies that occurred Sunday night at a Wilmington Casino.
On March 8, 2026, at approximately 10:30 p.m., troopers responded to the Delaware Park Casino, located at 777 Delaware Park Boulevard in Wilmington, for two reported robberies. The preliminary investigation revealed two victims were walking through the parking lot when two unknown suspects exited a dark-colored Nissan sedan while armed with handguns. The suspects demanded the victims’ property, and the victims complied. The suspects then fled the area in the Nissan with an undisclosed amount of money and the victims’ personal property.
Investigators learned the suspects returned to the parking lot a short time later and approached another person walking through the lot. The suspects again displayed handguns and demanded the victim’s property. During the robbery, one of the suspects struck the victim in the head with a handgun before stealing the victim’s car keys. The suspects then fled the area in both the Nissan and the victim’s vehicle. The victim who was struck with the handgun, a 24-year-old man from Avondale, Pennsylvania, was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Troopers and Officers from the New Castle County Police Department later located the victim’s vehicle in the city limits of Wilmington. After a brief vehicle pursuit, the driver abandoned the vehicle and ran away in the area of Bradford Street and B Street, and was not apprehended.
The Delaware State Police Criminal Investigations Unit continues to investigate this incident. Detectives ask anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant information to contact Detective B.
