The Delaware State Police have arrested 19-year-old Malik Woodall, from Dover, Delaware, following a robbery that occurred yesterday at Redner’s in Dover.
On March 8, 2026, at approximately 5:40 p.m., troopers responded to Redner’s, located at 88 Salt Creek Drive in Dover, for a report of a carjacking. When troopers arrived, they spoke to the 20-year-old male victim and learned that a black male suspect, wearing black clothes and a mask, approached him while he was sitting in his car and asked to use his phone. As the victim was handing the suspect the phone, he punched the victim and tried to prevent him from getting out of his car. When the victim got out of the car, the two began to fight. The suspect took the victim’s phone and car after the victim ran inside the store for help. The victim suffered minor injuries.
A witness to the incident followed the suspect, in the victim’s car, to a residence on New Street in Dover. Troopers arrived a short time later and took the suspect, identified as Malik Woodall, into custody without incident.
Woodall was taken to Troop 3, where he was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7, and released on a $1,000 unsecured bond.
- Robbery 2nd Degree – Prevent/Overcome Resistance, and Take Possession of Motor Vehicle (Felony)
- Assault 3rd Degree
