State Police Investigating a Single-Vehicle Fatal Crash in Millsboro

The Delaware State Police is investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash that occurred Wednesday night in Millsboro.

On February 11, 2026, at approximately 11:50 p.m., an Audi A4 was traveling southbound on Legion Road, approaching a sharp left curve in the area of Buttercream Hills, a private driveway.  For reasons currently under investigation, the vehicle failed to negotiate the curve and exited the west edge of the roadway before striking a concrete culvert pipe.  The vehicle became airborne and then overturned before striking a row of trees.

The driver, a 60-year-old man from Millsboro, was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.  His name is being withheld until his family is notified.

The investigation is still ongoing by the Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit.  Troopers ask anyone who witnessed the crash to contact Sergeant A. Mitchell at (302) 703- 3269.
