The Delaware State Police arrested 45-year-old William Comer Jr., from Wilmington, Delaware, and 59-year-old Darrell Maxion, from Bear, Delaware, on felony drug dealing and related charges following a traffic stop early Monday morning in New Castle.
On February 9, 2026, at approximately 1:30 a.m., a trooper was patrolling Memorial Drive, near North Dupont Highway, when the trooper saw a Volvo XC90 with an equipment violation. The trooper pulled over the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Comer, and passenger, Maxion. While talking to Comer, troopers learned he had drug paraphernalia in his possession. A subsequent search of the Volvo and its occupants resulted in the discovery of the following items:
-Approximately 34 grams of suspected crack cocaine
-Approximately 0.99 grams of suspect heroin
-Two digital scales
-Drug packaging materials
Comer and Maxion were taken into custody without incident and transported to Troop 2.
Comer was charged with the below listed offenses, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 11, and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $42,450 secured bond.

- Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance Tier 3 Quantity (Felony)
- Possession of a Controlled Substance Tier 3 Quantity (Felony)
- Conspiracy Second Degree (Felony)
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Operating a Vehicle with Improper Window Tinting
Maxion was charged with the below listed offenses, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 11, and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $40,700 secured bond.
