State Police Arrest Bridgeville Man for Drug and DUI Offenses

Delaware State Police have arrested 24-year-old Marcus Massey Jr., of Bridgeville, Delaware, for drug and DUI charges following a traffic stop in Frankford on Thursday.

On December 18, 2025, at approximately 3:20 p.m., a trooper was on patrol in the area of Cypress Swamp in Frankford.  The trooper conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to maintain its lane and almost struck oncoming traffic.  The driver was identified as Marcus Massey Jr.  While speaking with Massey Jr., the trooper observed signs of impairment and administered Standard Field Sobriety Tests.  During the investigation, a search of the suspect revealed approximately 4.29 grams of heroin concealed on his person.  Additionally, a computer search revealed that Massey Jr. had three prior DUI convictions.

Massey Jr. was taken into custody without incident and transported to Troop 4, where he was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 2, and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on a $11,503 secured bond.
