Detectives Investigating Parking Lot Robbery in Bear

The Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery that occurred last night in Bear.

On August 4, 2025, at approximately 7:57 p.m., troopers responded to a report of a robbery that occurred earlier in the parking lot of the Mexico Grocery, located at 626 Pulaski Highway. The preliminary investigation revealed that two men confronted a 43-year-old man in the parking lot about money they were owed. One of the suspects punched the man and stole his cell phone, while the second suspect displayed a handgun. Both suspects then fled in an unknown direction. The victim sustained minor injuries.

The suspects are described as two Hispanic males in their 40s or 50s. Surveillance video and images of the suspects or their vehicle are not available.

The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Robbery Unit continues to investigative this incident. Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this case to contact Detective R.
