State Police Arrest Trio for Strong-Arm Robbery in Wilmington

The Delaware State Police arrested 19-year-old Jonathan Nock of Wilmington, Delaware, and two 14-year-old males from Newark, Delaware, for a strong-arm robbery that occurred Sunday afternoon in Wilmington.

On March 9, 2025, at approximately 1:55 p.m., troopers responded to a report of a robbery that occurred on the 400 block of Maryland Avenue in Wilmington. Upon arriving, troopers learned the 19-year-old victim was walking on the sidewalk when 3 unknown male suspects approached him and asked him for his property. After the victim did not comply, one of the suspects struck him in the head, stole the victim’s property, and all 3 suspects then fled on foot in an unknown direction. During the investigation, the suspects returned to the area, and were taken into custody by troopers without incident. The suspects were subsequently identified as Jonathan Nock, and two 14-year-old males.

All 3 suspects were taken to Troop 2, where they were each charged with multiple crimes.


Nock was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 11, and committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $16,000 secured bond.

The 14-year-old male was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 11, and released to a guardian on an $8,000 unsecured bond.
