Troopers Arrest Milford Man for 5th Offense DUI

Delaware State Police have arrested 36-year-old Maurice Finney of Milford, Delaware, for 5th offense felony DUI and related traffic offenses.

On March 7, 2025, at approximately 1:35 a.m., a trooper on patrol saw a Chevrolet Traverse weaving left and right while driving northbound on Coastal Highway near Postal Lane in Lewes. The trooper saw the Traverse make an additional traffic violation and pulled it over. The driver, identified as Maurice Finney, showed signs of impairment and the trooper administered Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. After the tests, Finney was arrested for driving under the influence.

A computer check showed that Finney had four prior DUI-related convictions. He was taken to Troop 7, where he was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $6,101 cash bond.
