Detectives Investigating Gas Station Robbery in New Castle

The Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery that occurred early yesterday morning at a New Castle area Dash In gas station.

On June 6, 2024, at approximately 4:55 a.m., troopers responded to a report of a robbery at the Dash In located at 154 North Dupont Highway in New Castle. The preliminary investigation revealed an unknown white male suspect entered the Dash In and demanded the employee empty the cash register while lifting his shirt to reveal a handgun. The employee complied and the suspect fled on foot towards the Airport Plaza Shopping Center with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing dark-colored clothing and a mask. Surveillance video and images are not yet available.

The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Robbery Unit continues to investigate this incident. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this case to contact Detective D.
