State Police Investigating Single-Vehicle Fatal Crash into Residence

Delaware State Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred on Tuesday afternoon in Frankford.

On November 7, 2023, at approximately 1:30 p.m., a 2018 Chevrolet Trax was traveling northbound on Dupont Boulevard approaching Frankford Avenue. For unknown reasons, the Chevrolet traveled off the east edge of the road and struck the side of a house.

The driver, a 75-year-old woman from Frankford, was transported to an area hospital. She died from her injuries later that night. Her name is being withheld until her family is notified. The crash did not result in any injuries to the residents.

The roadway remained open during the crash investigation.

The Delaware State Police Troop 7 Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate this collision. Troopers are asking anyone who witnessed this collision to contact Senior Corporal R.
