The Delaware State Police arrested 24-year-old Damean Dunham of Wilmington, Delaware and 23-year-old Vincent Williams-Kimble of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania after it was discovered they were in possession of guns and drugs during a traffic stop yesterday afternoon in Newark.

On August 5, 2023, at approximately 1:12 p.m., a trooper on patrol saw a 2008 silver Nissan Altima traveling westbound on Churchmans Road in the area of Geoffrey Drive, Newark. The Nissan had multiple equipment violations and a computer query of the registration revealed the registration expired in 2022. A traffic stop was conducted, and contact was made with the driver, identified as Damean Dunham, and the front passenger, identified as Vincent Williams-Kimble. A consensual search of the Nissan was completed, and troopers recovered two firearms and marijuana. Dunham and Williams-Kimble were taken into custody without incident.

One of the firearms and approximately 69.66 grams of marijuana were found in a black bag in the front passenger side compartment next to Williams-Kimble. A computer query of the firearm revealed it was reported as stolen out of Nashville, Tennessee. Approximately 33.82 grams of marijuana was found in the center console, and the second firearm was found in a black backpack belonging to Dunham.

Dunham and Williams-Kimble were taken to Troop 2 and charged with the following offenses:
