State Police Arrest Man for Felony Assault

The Delaware State Police have arrested 36-year-old Justin Watson of Camden Wyoming, Delaware for felony assault on Monday afternoon in Camden Wyoming.

On July 31, 2023, at approximately 5:25 p.m., troopers responded to a residence on the 200 block of Allabands Mill Road, Camden Wyoming, for a report of a physical altercation. Troopers made contact with an injured 19-year-old man near the residence. The investigation revealed that the victim and his roommate, identified as Justin Watson, had a physical altercation over internet access, which led Watson to attack the victim with a box cutter. Troopers made contact with Watson at his residence, and he was taken into custody without incident.

The victim, whose identity will not be disclosed, was treated and released from an area hospital for serious injuries.

Watson was taken to Troop 3 and charged with the following crimes:

  • Assault Second Degree (Felony)
  • Possession of a Deadly Weapon (Felony)

Watson was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $14,000 secured bond.
