Troopers Arrest Three Teens Found with Stolen Property

The Delaware State Police arrested Baron Wilmer, 18, Quadre Wright, 18, and a 17-year-old male, all of Wilmington, Delaware, for possessing stolen property yesterday morning in Wilmington.

On July 20, 2023, at approximately 10:23 a.m., troopers responded to the area of Concord Pike and Silverside Road in Wilmington for a report of an abandoned vehicle. A silver Kia Sorrento was seen abandoned on the road by a group of young black males, according to the person who called 911. Troopers located the Kia in the left southbound lane of Concord Pike and discovered it was reported stolen within the jurisdiction of Wilmington Police Department earlier that morning. Troopers began checking the area for the suspects. Upon seeing the troopers, the suspects, later identified as Baron Wilmer, Quadre Wright, and a 17-year-old male, tried to avoid being caught by hiding. All three suspects were taken into custody without further incident.

The three suspects were taken to Troop 1 and charged with the following crimes:

Baron Wilmer:

  • Receiving Stolen Property (Felony)
  • Conspiracy Second Degree (Felony)
  • Resisting Arrest

Wilmer was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $6,500 secured bond.

 

Quadre Wright:

  • Receiving Stolen Property (Felony)
  • Conspiracy Second Degree (Felony)
  • Resisting Arrest

Wright was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $3,500 secured bond.

 

17-year-old male:

  • Receiving Stolen Property (Felony)
  • Conspiracy Second Degree (Felony)
  • Resisting Arrest

The 17-year-old was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to New Castle County Detention Center on a $14,000 cash bond.
