*Update – One Suspect Arrested* Delaware State Police Investigating Convenience Store Robbery

The Delaware State Police have arrested 32-year-old Leonard Cullum of Newark, Delaware for the robbery of a 7-Eleven that occurred several weeks ago. The second suspect remains at-large.

On February 26, 2023, at approximately 10:29 p.m., the Delaware State Police responded to a gunpoint robbery of the 7-Eleven located at 4865 Governor Printz Boulevard in Wilmington. The investigation revealed that one male suspect approached the sales counter while the other suspect stood at the entrance and did not allow anyone to enter. The first suspect displayed a handgun at an employee and demanded money. The victim complied, and the suspects fled from the business on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Detectives assumed the investigation and were able to determine that Leonard Cullum was the suspect who displayed a handgun. On the afternoon of March 20, 2023, Cullum was located at the Fairview Inn at 1051 South Market Street in Wilmington and taken into custody without incident. Cullum was taken to Troop 2 and charged with the following crimes:

  • Robbery First Degree (Felony)
  • Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)
  • Conspiracy Second Degree (Felony)

Cullum was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $68,000 cash bond.

Delaware State Police Investigating Convenience Store Robbery

The second suspect has not been identified or located. The Troop 2 Robbery Unit is still actively investigating this incident. Detectives are asking for anyone with information regarding this case to contact Detective R. Kirchenbauer by calling 302-365-8525.
