Delaware State Police Investigating Shooting Incident

Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred in the Capitol Park neighborhood of Dover on Monday evening.

On May 9, 2022 at approximately 7:22 p.m., troopers responded to the 100 block of South Governors Boulevard in Dover for a report of shots fired. Upon their arrival, troopers located multiple spent round casings in the area. The ensuing investigation revealed that one residence had been struck by one round while it was occupied by a 33-year-old female, a 10-year-old juvenile, and a 6-year-old juvenile. In addition, two unoccupied vehicles that were parked in the area were struck by gunfire. No one was injured during this incident.

At this time there is no suspect information or surveillance images available.

The Delaware State Police Troop 3 Criminal Investigation is currently investigating this incident.
