Drug Investigation Leads to Arrest of a Wilmington Man- Wilmington

Wilmington- The Delaware State Police have arrested Rickey Cromer Jr., 31, of Wilmington, DE on multiple drug related charges.

On March 4, 2022, the Delaware State Police Governor’s Task Force (GTF), with the assistance of the Delaware State Police Special Operation Response Team executed a search warrant on a residence within the 1000 block of West 2nd Street, Wilmington, DE after a two-month long drug investigation. During this operation, Ricky Cromer Jr., a two year long absconding probationer, was located inside of the residence and was taken into custody without incident. As a result, troopers discovered the following items:

  • 1,170 bags of Heroin (approximately 17.55 grams)
  • Approximately 1.9 grams of crack cocaine
  • Over $1,100 in suspected drug proceeds

Cromer was transported back to Troop 2 where he was charged with the following:

  • Possession With Intent To Deliver a Controlled Substance Tier 3 Quantity (Felony)
  • Possession of Controlled Substance Tier 3 Quantity (Felony)
  • Possession With Intent To Deliver a Controlled Substance (Felony)

Cromer was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court #2 and was released on his own recognizance. However, Cromer was remanded to Howard R. Young Correctional Institute on a $15,000.00 cash bond in relation to his Violation of Probationary Status.
