Troopers Arrest Two New Castle Men During Warehouse Burglary- New Castle

New Castle, DE- Delaware State Police arrested Charles E. Fletcher, 34, of New Castle and Andre Grenardo, 27, of New Castle, early Friday morning on burglary and related charges.

On December 13, 2021, the Delaware State Police began investigating a series of warehouse burglaries occurring in the 600 block of Pencader Drive. During the burglaries, electronics, furniture, and clothing items were stolen. On January 28, 2022, at approximately 3:30 a.m., troopers were dispatched to DBUSA Logistics Inc., located at 12 McCullough Drive, for a burglary alarm. When troopers arrived, they observed a white Lincoln Navigator parked directly in front of the shattered glass front doors with the engine running and the keys in the ignition. As troopers approached the front of the business, Charles Fletcher was seen inside carrying packages from within the business, and Andre Grenardo was observed inside the warehouse. When Charles saw the troopers, he fled back into the warehouse and was ultimately apprehended when he exited the rear door into the rear parking lot. Andre initially exited the rear door, but he fled back inside the warehouse when he saw troopers. The business was searched, and Andre was located hiding on top of a storage shelf under some insulation. He was taken into custody without incident.

 Both men were transported to Delaware State Police Troop 2 and charged with the following crimes:

  • Possession of Burglary Tools (Felony)
  • Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)
  • Theft Under $1,500
  • Criminal Mischief Under $5,000

Charles Fletcher was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court #2 and released on a $13,000.00 unsecured bond.

  • Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)
  • Theft Under $1,500
  • Criminal Mischief Under $5,000

Andre Grenardo was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court #2 and released on a $13,000.00 unsecured bond.
