Dover – The Delaware State Police announces the retirement of Sandra L. Frazier who has proudly served the citizens of Delaware with distinction and faithful service for 52 years.
Ms. Frazier began her career on June 1, 1969 when she was hired as a Clerk Typist II. She continued to serve as a stenographer, secretary, accountant, fiscal analyst, and worked in various assignments to include the Traffic Section, Personnel Section and Fiscal Control Section. Since 2007, Ms. Frazier has been the Senior Fiscal Administrative Officer for the Fiscal Control Section.
In 2010, Ms. Frazier was awarded the Civilian Employee of the Year after she took on the challenge of learning and implementing a new State accounting system. As the State of Delaware was transitioning to this new system, Ms. Frazier was responsible for ensuring the training and subsequent implementation for DSP fiscal personnel. This system proved to be a large challenge due to the unique nature of the Delaware State Police financial systems versus other State entities. The changes and related challenges of the new program impacted nearly every section within DSP. With Ms. Frazier as the lead, her fiscal team worked through these challenges in order to meet the requirements of the new program.
Ms. Frazier was a graduated of the very first Civilian Leadership Development Program (L.D.P.) in May of 2014. This training is a critical component for effective engagement, career enhancement, team building, and succession planning. Initially offered to law enforcement supervisors, a civilian leadership component was added to the training program curriculum in the spring of 2014.

Sandra L. Frazier, who proudly served Delaware and its citizens, retired today, Friday, December 31, 2021, after more than five decades of dedicated service.
